Wanna see my puppies!?!?!

There they are. Look at those cute little butts! :) I only had two, I guess I was too small to have more than that. The birth was complicated. One Sunday I went into labor when we were trailriding, mommy was so excited she couldnt wait for them to be born. But I had a little trouble. I guess I was too small because they werent even in the birth canal for me to give birth to them, they were higher up, like in my ribs. Well they had to rush me to the emergency vet, and mommy was so worried about me. It was painful. They got me there and they had to open me up and take the puppies out that way because I couldnt have them on my own even with the vets helping. And man were they small, so small they fit in the middle of mommys hand with out a problem. They were solid chocolate brown, as you see in the pictures with a little bit of tan on them. Mommy was so great helping me with them and we had so much fun when they got bigger. We would run and play all the time I was so sad when they had to go :( mommy was too she didnt want to sell them at all. Mommy has some really cute pictures of them that we'll have to find and show you guys one day!

More Memories by April

Hi! good evening. Found this picture today and thought Id share it with you. 

This was taken on a trailride with my grandmommy and granddaddy. I look so happy, because I was! I loved to go trailriding. We did it all the time and I was the best dog for the job. So many memories. Mommies been doing it since she was born and Ive been doin it since she was 4, when she got me. So roughly 17 years. I remember this one time I was sitting with mommy while she was tlkin to some friends of hers and they were cookin  some delicious steak on this short little grill. I was kinda a bad girl and when they werent lookin I snuck one off and ate it!!! hahaha Mommy laughed about it, it was funny.. to me at least & mommy. :) It was tasty, her friend sure was a good cook. 

When we would ride with a ton of people and wagons mommy and grandmommy and granddaddy would ride in the back but I liked to stroll to the front and visit every body else and then when Id get too far up Id stop on the side of the road and wait for mommy and as soon as I saw them I knew everything was ok and Id go ahead and go back up front, but Id always check on them and make sure they were ok!!  well I hope yall enjoyed those little short stories and I will see you later! Blast to the Past

Ok, we kinda gave up posting EVERY DAY but it will still be very regular. so we quit the day 1, day 2 thing for the title and will just come up with something from the post.

So today we found some older pics of us that we would like to share with you! The first is a pic of Lucy when she was skinny, before the puppies, and grey hairs. The second is April after she got a hair cut to stay cool durin the summer.

Look how cute sun bathing! after such a long day of probably doing nothing at all haha. This was taken years ago on a trail ride. Mommy is real country and they used to always go trail riding all over the place and they of course took us. April LOVED it, she'd been doin it for so long and of course she got to run with them through the woods cuz she was big enough, I had to stay at the trailer and wait for them to get back., BUT  I still had so much fun regardless.

Look at those bows. I cant believe Im putting this pic of me on here. Mommy and grandmommy took me to get shaved at Petsmart, which they did every summer to make sure Id stay cool because I had a thick coat, perfect for winter but summer in the south, its killer lol now mommy and daddy do it theirselves cuz at the moment they cant afford for some one else to do it, and it may not look as pretty as this BUT it works just as well, and I dont go out any more, too old for that. haha but I kinda think the bows r cute. I hope yall like this. 

Well thats about it for today, a nice blast to the past. :) Man we miss those days, every thing just seemed a little better back then, when we were younger ya know? Well, thats about it for the night we will see yall later have a great evening!

Days 6 & 7 by Lucy

Well, I guess I didnt realize when you're already kinda busy its hard to keep up with a blog every single day, so Im just going to do yesterday and today now. Yesterday was good, Mommy left yet again.. Whoa, I just had a sneezing fit holy cow haha Im ok now. Mommy and Daddy went to the store yesterday and got all kinds of food !! Thats really about it, it was nice and sunny though so that was good. Today Mommy and Daddy cleaned the house it smells so good, less like dog! I love the smell of us but it smells good this way too. 

Mommy did our nails today. We each have our own pair cuz were so different in size, ^ see... She cut them all down for us. April has problems with her nails getting long and breaking on her and it looks like it hurts but she never cries about it so Im not too sure if it does. One nail on each of my feet grows faster than the others so when she goes to cut them she has to be careful with that one because it starts to wrap around and man its crazy to get it cut. We hate when she cuts our nails but I guess she has to, how else would we get them fixed, any way I guess thats about it. Yall have a great night and see you tomorrow... maybe haha. 

Day 5 by April

I didnt get around to this yesterday because we were busy so Ill do yesterday this morning and maybe Lucy will do today tonight. Mommy snapped this picture of me while I was sleeping yesterday.

Look at my little tongue stickin out. I was sleeping good, didnt even realise shed taken the picture. Daddy laughed and said it looks like I need a bath and mommy agreed so Ill probably be gettin a bath and me nails cut soon! :) and probably a trim. my hair gets EVERYWHERE all kind of April dust bunnies under things haha Mommy said when she cleans the carpet all of my hair gets stuck in the sucky thing, you could make a whole new April out of the hair it catches. Mommy left for a bit yesterday but came back pretty soon. Daddy had his brother over and they were lifting these bars with round black things on the ends, they look heavy. And man did daddy stink!! he needs a bath too :) well thats about all for today. Have a great evening!

Day 4 by Lucy

Today I dont have a specific "thing" to talk about but I do have a cute picture to show you at the end. Today was such a gloomy day. Rainy for the most part. Mommy and daddy stayed in bed watching a black box with pictures on it. Right now it isnt raining thank goodness Im gonna have to go potty soon, after I eat some dinner yum, I love when dinner comes around. I can always tell when mommy is getting my food and I come running. My favorite thing is actually cheese, I used to know when shed get the cheese out of that big white thing thats always cold! I would dance for her she thought it was cute.

This was taken by my grandmommy one day, I was helping her drive the car, it was so fun! I used to spend so much time with my grandmommy. I havent seen her in a long time :( I miss her.. things happen for a reason though I suppose, thats what mommy says all the time so I believe it. Well I will see yall tomorrow or so, have a nice evening. I hope youre weather is goin better than mine.

Day 3 by April

So yesterday was all sun shinny but later that evening we had some thunder and lightening but no rain. I am so scared of lightening, well I guess its mostly thunder, I hate loud noises. Im not sure what sparked my fear of thunder, I guess most dogs dont like it, who really likes thunder any way, human or animal!? haha.. well mommy tried to get some pictures of it but as you can see it wasnt that easy haha.. its interesting though for me to look at, I wouldnt go out side and look at it my self, the scardy cat (dog) that I am. :)  I can remember back in the day when it would start to thunder I would find any place to hide, and mommy wind up puttin in a  doggy door for me so I could go inside in this little room of my own when ever I wanted through out the day, I hope I get another doggy door one day. Before the doggy door when mommy wasnt home I would run to the neighbors and hide on their porch or under their house but if mommy was home she would let me in, she knew how much I hated it !! Shes so great, and knows me so well. Hmm, I dont have much more to say about this. I hope yall stay safe and stay away from lightening!! have a nice evening.

Day 2

Yet another day home with out Mommy. Daddy's here though so we have some company. We're not too sure where mommy goes, she gets up earlier than we like to on any given day and we never know how long shes gone for but then she returns eventually and we get so excited to see her and get some belly rubs and finally get to go out and potty! 

We have a tiny yard as you can see. But enough for us to potty in. We used to have this big yard with all kind of space to go potty but we dont know what happened to that home, we had to leave one day and haven't been back since but mommy promises us that we'll have a big yard again one day to run around in and have fun. We cant wait. Mostly we're just happy we have our mommy with us! Wow, our paws are tired, we're not used to all this typing.. yet!! but we will eventually get used to it and will probably be able to tell long stories, we hope you're ready, we have tons! have a great day, its sunny here. feels so great outside, hope it's just as sunny at your house!

Day 1

Hello there. This is April & Lucy. Two dogs living in one home together and now on one blog together! :) Our mommy started this for us, and she was so kind to be our first follower! We hope to post about once a day. Either we will post together or each our own. We are getting up there in age, (April-17 and Lucy- 10) and we wanted to start recording our daily lives so that one day when we're gone mommy will have this to look back on! So we both hope that yall enjoy this part of the web that is solely ours and, yes you will notice we have southern accents! We hope yall can understand us, haha. We are also very camera shy but dont worry, mommy loves taking pictures of us so we will be able to share! Well, we will see yall tomorrow and have a great day!
